National Express

Quite a lot of activity took place today with National Express services. Not only was today a Bank Holiday, but also a changeover day at Butlins, and also saw a large number of families heading home as schools reopen next week. This required a number of duplicates to be operated.

Stagecoach in Peterborough's 53004, is duplicated by Veolia's V457 JTO on the 449 Mablethorpe to London service 449. They are illustrated at the coach stop at Richmond Drive in Skegness
Linburg (of Darnall, Sheffield) OUI 7745 departs from Butlins on the return 660 to Bradford
BL Travel (of Hemsworth, Ponterfract) YJ57 BOV is seen after arrival at Butlins having worked a duplicate on the 660 from Sheffield. Skyline (of Oldbury, Birmingham) W372 RKS is a regular performer on the 661 route. It is illustrated here departing from Butlins on the return journey to Birmingham.
Another of Skyline's fleet, Y3 AEJ, follows on a duplicate 661 to Birmingham
Hill's (of Wolverhampton) BU03 LYW, leaves Butlins with a duplicate 661 as far as Coventry
Selwyns (of Runcorn) 352 STG departs from Butlins on the 662 to Liverpool
Happy Days (of Stafford) YN07 EXW departs Butlins on a duplicate 662
Go Northern's K2 V0Y departing from Butlins on the service 663 to Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Jewitts (of Hexham) BX05 UWA arrives at Butlins after working a duplicate on the 663
Travellers Choice (of Carnforth) 3770 RU arrives at Butlins after working the 664 service from Preston. This was the only one of the services today not to require a duplicate
