RAF Spilsby

Despite what its name implies, the former airfeld is actually located close to Great Steeping. It was opened on 20th September 1943, and last saw use in 1958.

41 years on, and there are few remains. One noted today was the former wash rooms which still stand in a dilapidated state
An aerial view (courtesy of Google Earth). Despite being ploughed up, the scars left by the former runways can still be clearly seen
